So how long did it take you guys to get your Zune's after you received shipping confirmation from Buy.com?

Just curious because I just got me confirmation and i'm hoping to get it by this weekend.

I got the confirmation this past Friday and it came in yesterday. I didn't even know things were delivered on Veteran's Day.

I'm having a hard time with the software though. Even the new one.

What are you having problems with?

First thing to do in my opinion is set the sync to manual and set the software to only auto update missing song info. The auto sync and info update always screws up my songs. Now you have 100% control over what gets transfered by dragging and dropping.

how is the Zune compared to the Zen Vision M? i'm considering the new Zune 80 gb that just came out. one of the things i loved about zen vision was that i could just plug and play without the drivers/software.

actually liked the old software much better. This software still does the thing where it doesnt always recognize the right albums but at least in the old one it was a drag&drop away from fixing it. Not to mention the consistent freezing. Maybe on a much better computer its adequate.

I haven't had any freezing, but I do agree the old software edged out the new by a small margin. I don't like the now playing list only available on a different screen. The wall of album art is good looking but should be an option, not the only way to see now playing. Why someone thought a heart/broken heart system would be better than a 5 star rating system is baffling. Also the old software at least had a somewhat capable tag editor.

When I get an album that just won't come up right, I delete it from the zune library, open a tag editor and and enter the info again, then drag and drop the folder back into the zune software. Always fixes things for me.

I had the old software, but couldn't get the drag and drop to work on there or I guess I didn't know exactly what I was doing.

The new software is really buggy, I think. Works awfully sluggish. The drag-and-drop works on this one, but I can't find where to set auto sync off in the new one.

All my genres and other info were jacked up, after spending tons of time "perfecting" it in the old software. I also liked seeing how many hours of each genre I had in the old software.

It's all too complicated. Can't believe people @ Microsoft couldn't figure out a simpler way to do all this stuff.

This is crazy if this keeps up ill surely go get an ipod...i just bought one of the new 80 gig zunes and i cant even get the zune itself to turn on properly...i turn it on and it says zune and the white progress bar scrolls across the bottom then it gos to a screen that says

zune games


all your base are belong to us..and just sits...nothing i can do to get past it..tech support are morons as i spent 30 mins trying to tell them it was the zune not the software... f this

I'm having a hard time signing into the Zune Marketplace. Everytime I try it, it gives me an error message. I'm positive it's the correct e-mail and password, too...

Anybody know how the Zune Card thingy works? I've been playing music both on my Zune and in the software and have yet to have a song register. Does it only work on music bought from the marketplace?

My zune card finally started to update today. Before that, nothing. I didn't do anything different and out of the blue it just started working. Maybe just give it time?

The songs don't have to be from the marketplace, but they do need accurate tags.
