Need some soundproofing materials in my dorm! Help!

Anyway, I'm trying to find some soundproofing materials to put in my dorm room so I can actually listen to my stereo. I might as well left it home and just listened to music on my laptop if I can turn it up.

Anyone have any suggestions? I'm not trying to put a G down on the materials needed, but I am willing to spend some money since I will be living in apartments and dorms for the next few years.

But I am a college student still some cheap stuff I can put in my dorm room would be nice.

Why can't you just get headphones? Part of the crappiness of living in a dorm is that you can't just do whatever you want without bothering others. You have to learn how to compromise. I don't see how you can possibly soundproof your entire dorm room. If you get some wireless headphones, I don't see how it's any different, other than others won't be feeling your extreme bass at 2am.
