I wish I could say Marvin Gaye. He starred in two low budget flicks. (I've personally seen one of them and YIKES!) Honestly the answer is a toss up between Will Smith and Mark Wahlberg, I mean no one thinks of them as musicians anymore as they've truly transformed into very credible actors.

Right, Keanu reeves could've pulled off The Pursuit of Happyness SUUURE.

Will Smith may have a certain sameness to his quality of acting but it's a helluva lot better then some of his contemporaries.

Will Smith may have a certain sameness to his quality of acting but it's a helluva lot better then some of his contemporaries.

I admit, I've never seen that movie but every movie I have seen him in, he acts the same.

I completely disagree but the one thing that he does in almost every movie is run and yell at some point. It's his trademark.

Would Jared Leto count? He was alright in Requiem For A Dream (and probably other movies as well, only other one I'm aware he's in is Fight Club), and fronts the alt. rock band 30 Seconds To Mars.

Not really a movie connoisseur, so I can't think of anyone else who hasn't already been mentioned.

The amazing thing about Sinatra was that he was notorious for only wanting to do one take. He was a darn good actor and it shows in some of his movies. It's amazing how he could do so well on one take whereas most actors need anywhere between 3-5 takes per scene.

He always felt that the more takes he had to do the less effective his acting was.
