    pokemon...

Well as a father I have reached the time that my 5 year old is way into pokemon. It is as unstoppable as adolesence. Anyway, can anyone give me a quick "pokemon for dummies" what do you do with all those cards, how do you play...dont worry about the hardcore details, just enough to help me teach the boy. He doesn't know either, his friends have 'em, so he wants 'em to...thats his involvement right now. Thanks for any help.

That honestly should tell you all you need to know, it's got info on the video games, the card game, the TV series...pretty much everything.

If you want a good game then pick up the ones on the GameBoys or the DS. I think he would really like it and it would save you alot of money instead of buying them cards. There are the regular gameboy versions(Red,Gold,Silver,Yellow,Blue, and a Pokemon Trading Card game for it). Then there are some for the Advance(Leaf Green,Fire Red, Emerald, Saphire, Ruby). Lastly the DS(Diamond and Pearl). Have Fun.
