But on the real, you can customize one on dell's website if you're not partial to another company.

Go to TechBargains.com and use one of their deals for Dell. You can customize it all you want, use a coupon code, and still have it be less than 1500.

If you want a crappy computer. You can get a much better laptop from somewhere else for $1500. The macbooks that are less than $2,000 don't have anything, and the one's that do still aren't better than what you can get from hp and dell for cheaper.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

You can get a 2GB memory 2.16 ghz dual core 2 with a 120 GB for right under 1500.

              Its a good buy.

HP and Dell are cheaper for a reason. You get what you pay for.

There is a reason mac sales are exploding

Yeah, because they spend tons on marketing, and it makes purchasing one trendy.

I'm not gonna argue between Mac and PC because I simply don't care, but there's your reason.

show me a mac user who isnt happy that they switched. Then I will buy into your theory.

Like I said, I don't care about the discussion. I'm not a PC supporter or a Mac ***** or any of those things. I'm sure they're happy with their product, but I don't think sales jumped just because of that.

Yep. Mac's are great for high school and college kids. That's the target audience. In a business world, Mac's are rarely used outside of some graphic departments.

There are a handful of kids in my Computer Information Science class that are forced to come to work in the comp. labs because the demos/free trials we have to use for the class won't work on Macs. Yeah, Macs would be cool for a music/internet computer, but for gaming and business, you gotta go with something else.

No doubt about it. Which is why I have Windows installed too...

But you'd be surprised at how much "business" work you can get done on a mac.
