I was wondering why this was big news too. I love NG, DC, & AP. Only reason I keep cable as well as basketball for the most part.
On another note, I think the way they make these islands is by taking sand from other parts of the ocean floor. I forgot what they call it but they go out away from land and just pick up the sand with these enormous machines. They they kind of pour it out there with this thing that resembles the tree grinders. The ones that you may see your city, village, township using after a storm to clean up the leaves or just to trim the trees. It's pretty cool.
I think that one of the biggest things that was going through my mind with this was how it could disrupt some of the ocean floors into having those minor earthquakes which could start the tsunamis and things of that nature. Seems like there are more natural disasters because of things like this which may seem harmless. Definitely a thought. Wild concept honestly.Comment

They want to recreate Ireland on that man-made island. That includes the ecosystem (lush rolling hills of green
), pubs, cobble-stone streets, and pastures for sheep and what not. They've already bought the island and are just figuring out how to reach that ideal.
