Stand alone players are better, IMO, than add-ons. If something goes wrong with your 360 (correction: when something goes wrong with your 360), you'll also be out your HD DVD player, too.

Go with the Toshiba if possible. Reason being if your 360 craps-out your Add-On is now a paper-weight til you get your 360 back from repair

That wouldn't be a problem b/c I have the protection plan w/ best buy, i'm trying to just see witch one looks better (kinda hard to do) i'm leaning toward the toshiba b/c of the price but don't want to make a mistake.

          Do like I am doing.

I have the 360 with the HD Add on hooked up to my Hitachi 60" in the den.

I'm hooking up my new Toshiba HD DVD player in the bedroom to my 32" Olevia LCD.

Then you can watch HD-DVDs in bed or in the main viewing area.

If you have a 1080p, go with the add on, if not go with the Toshiba.

I'm in the same situation but it's a no brainer for me. The 360 add on is going on ebay this weekend.

I had the HD A1 for a few days and the 360 add on was much better. The A1 took forever to load and wouldn't read discs if they were barely scratched (ie. Netflix or Blockbuster rentals) That was a deal breaker for me.

I had my 360 break on me and my add on was a paper weight for over a month while getting repairs.

I was considering the switch back when the A2 was in the 160-200 price range. Walmart simply sped up the process.
