            Gene Hackman in The Replacements. He was laid back as he should have been with a bunch of guys who would be out of a job in the near future.

                    I second that with Burgess Meredith a close second. Nolte brings the everyman to the role in a way that we can almost all sympathize with. I love the way Blue Chips ends with Pete teaching the kids on the playground.

                      I saw someone said Pacino was the worst in Any Given Sunday, but the speech he gives in that movie about everyone next to you laying their life down for every inch..that speech was awesome.
