    Broken Canon Camera

Hey guys, I remember hearing from somewhere that Canon or some camera company is willing to take any broken camera for credit towards a new camera. Has anyone heard of this before? I had a Canon A95, which went dead 10 months after I purchased it. I neglected to take it in for warranty and now not only is the camera dead, but its also out of warranty. Does anybody know if theres anything I can do with this or should I just toss it?

    Re: Broken Canon Camera

I dropped a $350 Canon after just a few months and the LCD broke. After about 6 months, I finally sent it to Canon service and they e-mailed me a quote within a week. It was $115 to fix it. I had already gotten a new camera so I offered to a friend that he could pay the $115 and he could keep it. He decided to pay it and the camera arrived a few days later in perfect condition.
