    Battlestar Galactica General Discussion

I just started watching the Pilot episode earlier today from Netflix and so far this seems like it could be a very good show. For those that have been watching this since the beginning, does the show get better as times goes on? If it does, I'm just going to wait till December when Season 1 releases on HD-DVD.

Yes, it does. Hard not to get involved with the story and such. Very cool show. You'll like it. Maybe you'll love it like I do.

By the way, did anyone watch the "Battlestar Galactica: Razor" movie this past weekend? I have it on DVR but haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

Yeah, it's good. It's basically like watching a 2-part episode. There's really no reason it couldn't have just been a part of the show's normal run.

True, but I'll take whatever BSG I can get at this point. This and "The Shield" are the best shows on TV right now. Blows out anything on network TV.

I just hope season 4 isn't f'd up by rushing to finish this series.

I did not particularly enjoy BSG:Razor. It was okay in my opinion. It was nice to see some of the events that were explained in the series take light in Razor. But for asking how good BSG is? It is fantastic. I have all three seasons and would love to get Season 1 hd but I fear it is too expensive.

Also, here is a tip...space out watching the seasons. Because if you finish all three to early and have to wait until march like most of us...it is going to kill you.

It gets so much better, mainly because you get so involved in the stories and the characters. Razor was phenomenal as well.

I'm looking to start watching this series sometime soon. Just started with Sopranos and I imagine it'll take me a while to get through that. Might go with both to keep things interesting.

I went to Blockbuster and was a bit confused. Do the Season One DVDs start with a mini-series?

Yes. I work at blockbuster, thus that is how I got all my seasons for cheap. There are five disc for season one. The first disc is the mini series on its own. There are no episodes on the mini series disc.

haha, Battlestar Galactica is more of a drama than a Sci fi IMO.

Just watched Razor. Thought it was great. Previews for the new season starting in March were interesting. Has this upcoming new season always been scheduled for March? I just figured it was January...

It kept being pushed back. First, it was December. Then January. Then February. Now March.

At one point the were saying April, so March is step in the right direction.
