I don't know, but if you're willing to wait for Black Friday if you think the deal is good, why not just wait anyways? They always run great deals on that day, so it can't hurt to wait. -

Because you have to get up early and fight crowds/traffic if you want to get anything good.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Haha. I didn't have that problem. I used to work at the local walmart and I would go in 30 minutes before the store opened and grab what I wanted. ;P
Now I know almost every manager that works there so they let me in if I get there early and go to the garden center and not the front door.

Some of those black friday deals can be purchased online... so keep an eye out for those if you don't want to fight through the crowds.Comment

Picked-up my OLEVIA 232 Series for $475.00 out the door last year on BF. Use it as a bedroom TV. My wife loves it, especially since we now have a HD DVR. Very good TV for the price.Comment

Yep. I've never done it and I can't see myself ever doing it. My sanity is more important to me than saving the money. Then again, I admittedly have very little patience!

Same, I do almost all my shopping online. In fact, wife and I just about completed Xmas shopping last night. It's nice to do it while watching TV, on a laptop, and going through sites and magazines.Comment

I ordered from 5 different sites last night, we found coupons for everyone of them for free shipping. Two of the sites, we found coupons for 10% off as well.
Based on our shopping and what we bought, and the prices in brick and mortar stores. We saved approx $200, plus didn't have to deal with idiots in the stores or traffic.Comment

Re: what were those oleva tvs going for last year
Last year on black friday I picked up a 37'' Olevia LCD online from newegg.com for $699. Worked out great for me, since all of the in store deals were for 32'' TV's, but I wanted a little bigger and the price was just as good! I did have to pay for shipping which was another $30 or so, but it was still a great deal.
Almost a year later, this TV has been great... however we did have one major issue. A few months ago it just shut off while we were watching it, and I never could get it to turn back on. Luckily Olevia backed up thier 1 year warrenty and ended up sending me a new TV. Thier customer service was good, and I got the TV fast... although I did have to pay to have my dead one shipped back to them. It happens I suppose... other then that issue this TV has been wonderful and the picture is great.LET'S GO FLYERS, YANKEES, DOLPHINS!!!Comment

One chain (I can't for the life of me remember its name) was running a deal with the Olevia 37" for $399 last year. I waited in line but ended up 5 people short of getting a voucher for one. I later ended up getting a 32" for $450. But yeah, I'm never waiting in those lines again...It was bad enough waiting in line all night and ending up 5 people short of getting a deal in a line that spanned almost two blocks, but then driving around looking for a deal in those crowded stores was just madness.
Edit: Pretty sure it was Micro Center that had the cheap Olevia'sLast edited by vinny; 11-05-2007, 11:39 AM.Comment
