How long the line is going to be and how long until I get an Xbox 720 and PS4. Adding to how much they go for on EBay.

Will the Wii 2 be available before the Wii is available?

Those seem pretty legit concerns for me anyway

The Earth's climate changes from time to time. That's pretty much documented and we experienced a similar warming period not too long ago in Earth's history. But nobody then panicked and said we were all going to die and we had to change our lifestyles to survive, and, miraculously, the planet then experienced a cooling period because that's what the planet does. It warms and cools in cycles from time to time.

Nobody's disputing that we're in a warming period. But it's ridiculous and kind of self-important to assume that this must be man-made and it must be stopped, by mankind, or else it will continue until we all die.

The point is whether it's man-mad or not, the pace it's going IS going to cause significant problems and that's going to have be dealt with. Why anyone would choose to not at least TRY to do something about it, is beyond me. I know humans are hard-wired to not perceive threats until they are immediate, but indifference towards this issue is amazing to me. There is NOTHING more important than our ability to sustain life on this planet.

I'm not suggesting "We're all going to die" tomorrow, but if you think the polar ice caps completely melting at the pace they are isn't that big of a deal, you're complete insane.

What he's saying is that the earth heats and cools all the time. It has been documented. We dont orbit around the sun in a perfect circle so there are times when we're a bit further away from the sun than usual and vice versa.

As for global warming, I believe in it to but I dont think it will be an immediate effect. I'll reserve that till nuclear facilites start popping up all over the globe.

I disagree, Global Warming remains the most misunderstood theory on the planet. It's not even a proven fact, how can it be the biggest challenge our current generation is going to face?

What is "theory" about the fact that the planet is warmer than it's been in recorded history? What is "theory" about the fact the planet's ice is melting at alarming rates? It's not theory; you can look at pictures and see the facts for yourself.

What is to be gained by not believing in this? Are you hoping you'll look cool someday in the future and say, "See, I told you not to worry"? What would be so bad about reacting to what can clearly be seen - the planet is warming at a rate that is going to cause significant problems and endanger lives? Maybe we can't do anything about it, but would it be so bad to try? Are you that attached to plastic bags from the grocery store? Are you that much in love with burning oil and gas instead of other alternatives? Some of the changes that can be made are pretty easy to do and will actually benefit you anyway, global warming or not.

                            I don't get the resistance.

Re: what is the biggest challenge our generation will face...

Global warming has been happening for billions of years. Yes it was hot this summer, but you know what, we also set records for coldest days as well this year. One volcanic eruption blows more polutants into the air than man has ever made. If you look at history, after the industrial revolution and even during and after ww2 when co2 levels were outragous, we experienced a temperature drop during those times, so this shows a strong case that the amount of co2 in the air does not contribute to global warming. What about all the other times the earth has thawed and and then frozen? what do we blame that on, those dang dinosaurs and all their farts? This is a part of the earth, and man has the ability to reason, and with reasoning there also comes greed. Global warming is huge business, billions upon billions of dollars are spent on it, but where does all that money go? We buy scrubbers for the tops of plants to keep down co2 levels, but still the temps go up. We sell more and more enviro friendly cars, but still it goes up. I liken this to the great recycling debacle that we have now. The whole recycling idea came about becuase a ship full of trash was floating around looking for somewhere to dump it in new york, but new york didnt want it, so people thought we were running out of space for trash. This of course wasnt the case, but the liberals got ahold of it and went rampant. Now, in order to recycle the things you put out on your curb, it actually takes MORE of our resources and money to make those things reusable again, from the big gas sucking truck that picks it up, to the huge plants it takes to re-melt the items, to the cost of all those people in charge of it. So, what do you really believe in? A made up story that grabs the headlines and gets politicians elected, or your own common understanding of history and how nature works. If you really think that you are saving the earth by pedaling to work everyday, flushing the toilet once a day, and buy expensive cars that have been shown produce a crap load of horrible by-products in the making of them, then go ahead, its a free country.

While I believe Global Warming is real, it won't affect our generation much at all, especially in the US.

And if this is simply a cycle the Earth is going through, the notion that humans could change the weather is purely comical.
