There's definitely parts of both that I like. I like the guitar and drum work on City of Evil. But I like the sound of the new album as well.

I like Waking the Fallen the best, City of Evil and their newest tie for 2nd with me though, I like a lot of songs on each but theres a couple on both I'm not a big fan of.

I love it all.

But I would love to ask the band what their thinking was with #9 on the new album. I don't get it....sounds like a messed up circus/school band project.

I think I like City of Evil better than their newest album the more I listen. I like a lot of the songs on the new cd but City of Evil has some of my favorite songs of theirs overall, Waking the Fallen is still my favorite album of theirs though.

I think it's because their lead guitarist and drummer had a band called Pinkly Smooth that played some of that off the wall stuff, so they let them incorporate it. I think Mezmer is a pretty good song by them, but some moments make you say WTF.
