    23" Sammy HDTV HDMI problem

I have a 23" sammy HDTV that I use as my monitor. Many months ago I bought an upscaling DVD player with an HDMI output. I used it for awhile, then moved it into another room and left the HDMI cable still attached to the TV. Now I got a newer 360 with HDMI and the TV doesn't recognize the HDMI signal. It also doesn't recognize that same DVD player when I plugged it back in.

If anyone knows what's going on, I'd love to hear from you.

Are you using the same HDMI cable on both?

What are you seeing on the screen, no input signal?

This TV can detect when you have something plugged into its inputs. For example, I have my original Xbox plugged into the "Component 1" Input. I can toggle between sources and it will only go back and forth from Component 1 to PC (I have it as my monitor). The TV doesn't detect it. When I plug the DVD player or the 360 into the HDMI input using the same cable the TV still won't detect it but I can force it on using the PIP feature - all I get is black.

I tried the same cable on both the DVD player and the 360 and got black screens both times. It's either the cable, or the TV's HDMI input because the circuitry that detects when something is plugged into it may be screwed up. . . I don't know which one.
