Re: Batman: Over the Edge?
Yeah, I can recommend the DVD collection to anyone who is even mildly interested. This is one of the best TV cartoons ever, including anime and Bugs Bunny. The directing is top notch, particularly by Kevin Altieri(I think that's his name. The score is brilliant. It's all just really well done. It holds up over time, and is better now that I'm older and I can see the subtlety in the storytelling choices.Comment

Re: Batman: Over the Edge?
I watched the episode where Batman kills the Joker.. pretty dark stuff since it was the unedited version. You guys should watch that one.. Joker turns Robin into his son.Comment

Re: Batman: Over the Edge?
Commissioner Gordon hires Bane to get Batman so that he can kill him. Bane turns on Gordon and knocks him off the side of a building, Batman and Bane fight, Batman beats up Bane and it looks like he kills him. When Batman goes to bring Gordon back up onto the building Bane wakes up for a second and throws something at Gordon and Batman that knocks both of them off the building and while they're falling Batgirl wakes up in the hospital so she never died and the rest was a dream. I don't know if that's confusing or not but I tried.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Batman: Over the Edge?
These cartoons (Spiderman, X-Men, Batman: TAS, Superman) were the greatest points of super hero viewing in the 90's. I loved my Saturday mornings and after-school television.
I've said it before and I only keep saying it because it seems like no one watches it here. The Batman on WB is good stuff. Obviously doesn't match TAS but it's better than Batman Beyond."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

I am sure it is bad for him, because it is kinda built for adults, but he loves it. Plus is it Batman, that is my all time favorite hero.
