I need help with my Zune library

I downloaded the Zune software update yesterday and its created a little bit of a problem. When I first got my Zune I had an iPod previously, so I had downloaded some songs from iTunes and they only way to get them to play in my Zune that I knew of was to burn them all to a disc then rip them to the library.

That worked fine, until the update. Now since the update its lumped all those individual songs and its showing that they're by the same artist, I edit the artist and album but it keeps them under whoever the first artist on the burned cd was.

For example, on the one CD the first song is a Foo Fighters song, the next is an Three Days Grace song but instead of showing them as two seperate artists in my library its showing the Three Days Grace song as being a Foo Fighters song to. I tried editing the Album name to the name of Three Days Grace's album, and it already shows the artist as Three Days Grace (although for some reason its still under Foo Fighters).

Anyone have any ideas how to fix this problem because I'm absolutely puzzled and I won't be at all surprised if no one has the slightest idea what I'm talking about because this is pretty confusing to try to explain.

Any help is greatly appreciated because I'm out of ideas and tired of having Three Days Grace and various other artists listed under a different artist rather than under their own name because its a pain remembering whos under what wrong name.

That is the only way to take your Itunes songs and have them work in the Zune software. There is still no support with the Zune.

      Yeah I thought so.

Looks like this isn't an isolated event, a quick google seems to show a lot of people having this issue, heres a link to someone else talking about the problem.

It was in a photogallery on the Celtics website before the season started, I think it was posted on their site on media day.

It's not a bug either, it has always been like that since the original Zune. I hope they eventually go with some kind of itunes support, it would benefit them more than hurt them.

I think you will have to tag edit the mp3s. I was having a similar issue when I first installed the software. Here is the fix:

              1. Download mp3 tag (http://www.mp3tag.de/en/download.html) and install it.
              2. Run the program and change the directory to wherever you keep your music files.
              3. Right click on each song and choose extended tags.
              4. Change the BAND tag to the correct name.

This should fix the problem and it worked for me.
