It's rather old, I'm sure most people have seen or at least heard of it.

There have been other bird killing incidents with baseballs since then. Omar Vizquel killed a bird in batting practice hitting a fly ball, and a former Cubs minor league pitcher thought it would be funny to try and hit a bird in its nest just by intentionally throwing a ball at it... probably didn't think it was funny killing it, especially after facing criminal charges.

Sometimes, I look back at these and laugh. Other times, I think of the other bird that flies right by the other's side, and think "what in the hell was going through its head when he saw his brother die?"
