Hooking up a PC to my Vizio HDTV
My new 37" Vizio HDTV has a RGB output. I took a regular monitor cable and connected the TV and the PC and switched to RGB mode...no picture.

Re: Hooking up a PC to my Vizio HDTV
I may be able to help you. I just purchased a VX37L, and I use it very frequently in RGB mode with a home theater PC.
Anyway, what resolution do you have the PC on? If it is anything higher than 1366x768, then I'm not sure it will show up. I would recommend setting the resolution to something lower that the TV can handle, like 1024x768. Then try to plug the TV to it, and see if you can hike it up to 1366x768.
FWIW, I purchased a new video card specifically to makes sure I could get 1366x768. I didn't want a ballsy video card, but rather something that could display the max resolution. Anyways, here's the link off Newegg, paid $50 for it:
EVGA 256-A8-N313-LX GeForce FX 5500 256MB 128-bit DDR AGP 8X Video Card - Retail
FWIW, the VX37L looks beautiful on 1366x768 and Windows Vista. It's almost mesmerizing... -

Nice. Thanks man. I'll try that. I have 768mb Video card set at a pretty high setting. Let me see if that works.Comment
