25 Worst Sequels of All Time

Some of these Ive never even seen, but I was interested to hear others opinions on some of these because there are for sure some really bad ones on this list.

Personally I would've swapped out Major League II and put Airplane! 2 instead. Overall though, that list is pretty accurate.

noooooooooooooooooo... actually ML 3 was downright sad (I did like one and two)... big fan of the Airplane movies


how 'bout... Naked Gun 33 1/3? Hot Shots Part Deaux? Jaws 2?

I loved both Airplane's.

I never saw Get Shorty but Be Cool was a disappointment, except for the Rock.

Yeah I would say Major League 3 was worse than Major League 2, but then again compared to Major League, ML2 was by far the bigger drop. Not having Wesley Snipes killed the movie, as did the pussified PG (maybe PG-13) rating.

The Whole Ten Yards has to exist in that list somewhere. It was laughably bad. Rocky V wasn't that bad either - I still enjoyed it ("My ring's outside.").

"Slap Shot 2." So bad it went straight to video, and it was an insult to the finest sports movie of all time.

I know I'll get pilloried for this, but "The Godfather III" sucked when compared to the first two, which are classics. If the first two never had been made, then "GF III" would have been a solid movie. But it's nowhere near the quality of the first two, and Sofia Coppola is absolutely woeful as an actress. Good thing she's a much better director.

Weekend at Bernies 2 should be numero uno IMO. How in the **** can you use the same dead guy in 2 different movies. Aren't bodies sopposed to decompose or something????

I liked Godfather 3 quite a bit, obviously not like the other 2 but it was still great. Number 3 gets a lot of crap, but besides Coppola's acting it is very solid. I loved Pacino's performance in three (but then again I pretty much love his performance in anything.) It put a nice conclusion to the story and only gets a bad rap because its compared to 2 of the top 10 movies ever made.

That was a decent top 25 list, a few I hadn't seen, but sadly had seen the vast majority and don't really have bones to pick with their choices. Though some were prequels and not sequels.

American Wedding should be on that list. The spinoffs to the series too.

actually didn't mind Band Camp... the next one was hidious (but I too am not a big fan of American Wedding)

The Matrix Revolutions should be off that list. If anything, The Matrix Reloaded should replace it.

The Ring Two should definitely be on that list, along with Son of the Mask.
