I've got a Dell Dimension 5100. I've had it for about three years and, so far so good. I get a pretty sweet deal through work if I purchase from Dell, so I'm likely going back when I need a new one.

Normally I only buy IBM (now Lenovo). However, my current PC I had custom made by Puget Computers. The computer was put together very quickly and I think I received it about a week after I ordered it. It has been flawless for 2 year now. Thanks all, i'm really leaning towards Cyberpowerpc.com or dell.com at this point. I like the customization of the cyberpowerpc.com but I get a discount through my company at Dell. However Cyberpower has 3 year warranty automatically but with Dell I gotta pay extra so that wipes out the discount. The 3 year warranty is very, very important to me after this constant problems with the Falcon.

I'd like to hear from more of you, especially those of you who have Dells or Cyberpower PC's.

Dell will most of the time give you the best price but I'm sticking with Sony from now on. Their PC's are simply BEASTS. When I repaired PC's a few years back I would rarely see a Sony PC into be fixed.... Dell's and HP's however... were everywhere.

Built my own. I prefer to get good parts in my computer, and the cheapest way to do that is to build my own.

If I were to buy a computer just for Internet browsing and word processing, I'd probably go Dell or HP since I've had good experiences with them before.

I've got a Sony Vaio Laptop, and I won't buy Sony again because the Tech support was pathetic. I know most tech support is, but since I had first hand contact with Sony's, I've decided not to bother with them again.

Not a fan of Dell, no horror story, just not. My D610 is just about dead, i'm only online now running off of my backup Ubuntu OS since the harddrive apparently crashes before it can get into Vista, might have to Clean install. Just Ordered a T61p from Lenovo over the phone yesterday, experience so far pretty good...

I have a cheap eMachine. 1GB of RAM and 100GB hard drive for only $450 with an LCD monitor (but no good for games obviously). It's about two years old. I use it on a daily basis for some pretty intense applications and it works perfectly. For the money, I couldn't be happier.

I bought it from Best Buy. Haven't had to deal with them since I've had no trouble.

Refurbished dell laptop, inspiron 1501 and got it for under $600. Works great, I can run a crapload of stuff at once and not have to worry about significant loading issues or whatever.

I would without a doubt, buy another one.

I also have a gateway..... I bought it last year with a vista O/S standard... it's very fast... and loaded...
