    just bought HDTV, need help

bought a Toshiba 65 inch projection 1080p HDTV on black friday. I know I need to get some HDMI cables off eBay, but what else do I need?

What about the surge protector? Someone said I need a really nice one that keeps a constant current level. Any specifics I need to look for? What price am I looking at? Is it ok just to plug it into a power strip now and switch to the protector later?

I know there is a sticky but its over 400 pages long. I can't find any info there.

Check out http://www.monoprice.com for any cable you will ever need. I've yet to find a place who can beat their prices. For the surge protecter, get one with at least a 2000 joules rating. The higher you go, the better protected your electronics will be. Just don't get suckered into paying $100 or more for one. You can get a good one for around 50-60 bucks. One brand I do recommend is Belkin.

No I went to a place called American. Circuit City had it at the same price but I figured American would be less crowded on Black Friday. It was still packed though.

        Thanks for the advice.
