Re: DONT FORGET - All New Futurama DVD tommorow!

I thought the new movie was a solid re-introduction for the franchise. It started off a little slow but once the plot really got rolling it became infinitely more interesting. The time travel stuff was a little confusing, but the movie ended up being pretty predictable. I won't say anymore for fear of spoiling it for people who haven't seen it. It's definitely worth a purchase for Futurama fans. Hopefully Fox releases it on Blu Ray in the near future.

i didn't really like how they tried to include every character or icon from the show (surprised there were no beastie boys or slurm employees), but i understand that they had to include a lot for casual fans. as a longtime fan, i'd give it a B+.

You know what... I enjoyed it... but it didn't feel like a real Futurama thing... I don't know. I enjoyed it, though.

I loved it, mostly becuase i have been waiting so long for it to come back again. Had some great moments, some confusing, but in the end it was still the great futurama we know in love. so far, watched it twice, and have turned on some other people to it. Cant wait for the next one, Beast with a million backs.

I should be getting it today. I can download it but I would rather buy the actual dvd. I can't wait to watch it.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

The story was, at times, confusing, but I like how they acknowledged that and poked fun at it throughout the course of the movie, typical Futurama humor.

I wouldn't put it up there with the best episodes, but it is certainly on par with the vast majority of the series and infinitely better than the Family Guy Stewie movie(which is the only other cartoon straight-to-DVD movie I can think of right now).

Yeah, I agree. Too many characters were just forced in but considering it was coming off a 2+ year hiatus it was to be expected. That's why I think the next movie will be better though because they won't feel the need to do gimmicky things like that.
