    Wu-Tang Clan: 8 Diagrams

It's been six years since the Clan last dropped an album.

I was wondering what you all think of their new LP 8 Diagrams?

I've heard that it's very underwhelming, but I think it's pretty damn good thus far

After the first seven tracks I can tell that Campfire, The Heart Gently Weeps, Rushing Elephants, and Wolves will be on repeat for awhile. Method and Ghost came correct, and the production has been insane on the aforementioned tracks.

Looking at the track listing it appears that Ghost is done after track 6. That sucks because he is far and away my favorite member.

Ghost is often linked to the best instrumentals but I've always liked Method's flow the best. Very effortless sounding. Kind of like Guru.

        I had no idea either!

I wanna hear this. BTW, It's so hard for me to choose a favourite as far as lyrics go. But album wise, Ghost is at the top no doubt.

My Top 3 Wu members(in no particular order):

        1. Ghostface
        2. GZA
        3. Method Man

Streets, any idea if Tru Masta and Bronze Nazareth did any tracks for the album?

I went through the first 5 or 6 tracks(close to 30 in all) and I like what I hear so far. The first track is definitely vintage Wu-Tang.

The retail LP is only 16 tracks... 30 in all?? You must be bumpin' the 8 Diagrams Mixtape that dropped before the LP.

Edit: I just checked and yeah the mixtape that's floating around is 29 tracks. The real 8 diagrams is only 16 and the first song is campfire.

Not feelin' the album personally, but it's still a breath of fresh air to hear the Wu back in action.

I feel like the production could be a lot better. They need to let Ghost pick their beats.

lol... that would go over real well with RZA (Wu's very own producer)

                            I'll be honest.

36 chambers was classic raw wu
the offshoots from rae(cuban linx) and gza(liquid swords early on were classics themsleves and EVEN capadona surpirsed me with how good his album was BUt Ghostfaces first second and third were all strong because they just showed artistic range. method man's tical was superior to redmans "what the album" even though def jam didn't admit to the competition until they joined forces with blackout.

Ironman is the most underrated Wu album. It belongs right under OB4CL and Liquid Swords. The middle of that album might be the best stretch of any Wu album aside from 36 Chambers.
