I had mine checked as well. Probably the most physically uncomfortable thing I've ever had to go through on a doctor's visit.

And DE, the worst part is, it's not like he's just putting a finger in your butt, it's like a full blown invasion. I didn't even think it was humanly possible to get that far into the human body from the outside without surgery.

I had my prostate checked up once....The worst feeling in the whole wide world. I couldn't sit comfortably for at least a half hour afterwards.

This is why I vow to hold off prostate exams to the absolute latest possible date.

Well not THAT late. Actually I was told by my doctor that i'll have to have a colon scope at some time in my life just as my father is going to have done in a couple of months or so because my grandfather had colon cancer. It's a hereditary thing.

I'll be dreading that day tremendously. I'm scared of that kinda stuff.

They need to find an easier way to do the test(s). Like you swallow a camera or something that can sense cancer or bumps that shouldn't be there.

I'd only sign off for them to check my prostate only if I'm under Anesthesia (sp?).

No way can I be awake and have a grown man OR woman do that to me. Sorry.

And when I wake up, I'm not even looking them in the eyes. I'll sign all the paperwork before the procedure and just get up off the table and walk out when they're done.
