Re: Just got the AT&T Tilt

On the Tilt I use opera to get web pages as on the web, 3 meg camera, snes emulator, thousands of apps, it also has a pretty loud speaker and alarm.

I almost got an Iphone , but the quality of the speaker was not good to me. If it upgrades its speakers, add apps, and fm radio or something similar I probably will get one then because the screen is beeeaaauuutttiiiffffullll.
What world do you live in?

hmm, tell me more about these apps.

I couldn't for the life of me dl anything for my i930. The option is blanked out and has always been.

Re: Just got the AT&T Tilt

I just watched a video on the Tilt and I'm more impressed than I thought.

Seems like it offers more of the internet things I want to do (like use AIM) then the iPhone. I don't think the iPhone allows people to really use instant messenger. Maybe I'm wrong.

          Nope, it doesn't.

You're probably lying and just want me to join the Tilt cult. I'm on to you!

Seriously, though, that might be a deal maker right there.

My deal maker is that the iPhone doesn't let you use MP3s as ringtones... well, you can, but they have to be bought from the Apple store first. Bump that noise. I love adding MP3s to my phone and using them as ringtones. I rarely use the 'Net on my 8125 and mainly use it just to text. Maybe sometime down the line, the Tilt will be in my future.

Eh, I don't want ways around it. I know there are ways around it, but it just irks me that a phone that is also an iPod won't even allow you to just use MP3s as ringtones. Gotta get that paper, I guess.

Re: Just got the AT&T Tilt

                        3G is another reason.

How is the battery life? And how big is the phone? I have an i930 and if the Tilt is even slightly smaller than that I would think I was Derek Zoolander flipping my thumbnail device to dial my friends.

Re: Just got the AT&T Tilt

First off i have the Tilt and its arguably the best phone money can buy right now. Fredropro make sure u visit this site http://www.xda-developers.com/
register and research and then finally Flash your At&T rom to an original HTC rom, i ensure you it looks so much better and moves so much faster. YankeePride you can get the Tilt for $149.99 after rebate here : http://www.newegg.com/Store/CellPhon...me=Cell-Phones $174.99(no rebate). Not only does it have 3g it has HSDPA, which is basically 3.5G the fastest speed you'll find on a phone. The load time on web pages are great. The benefit of this phone is that it has 4 networks (HSDPA, 3G, WiFi, and Edge)

You can stream youtube videos jus like the iphone. The touch interface doesn't compare to the iphone, the iphone blows any competition away in that department. You cant even make a comparison with the i930 LOL. That phone is no where near the quality of the tilt, u can safely compare Sprint's Mogul but the Tilt is still superior. PDA's are far more advanced. The Tilt has crazy features and very large amount of Apps its ridiculous. The downside is the battery life, with all the features and Apps the battery life sucks A**. Talk time isn't to good and WiFi drains the battery but there are Apps to help control that just visit the site I posted.

When people say battery life sucks, what do you mean?

Right now, I could use my i930 and have a total of one hour of talk time and my battery is already nearing it's death.

I have to charge my phone every night.

So, if sucks means I have to charge it every night, I can live with that.

Yea YankeePride you'll have to charge this phone every night if your planning on talking on it b4 bed. i definitely have to charge mine but you should consider getting it, it's a great phone nonetheless.

Are these deals only good for new customers? I am eligible in feb to upgrade my phone and sign another two year commitment. So would I have to wait until then?
