Carnegie Mellon isn't that ugly. It gets a bad rap for being in Pittsburgh, but it pretty decent. There's new construction there that looks pretty sweet.

I didn't think that NC State was ugly either but all the trees might've hidden the uglieness.

I thought that UCSD was pretty cool looking. But what do I know? (nothing about architecture apparently).

Seton Hall and the SUNY campuses are ugly. The list is pretty close to accurate.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

Somehow I knew UCSD was going to be on the list. The only cool looking building is the library, but even the SDSU library IMO dominates it... though all you see is a small glass dome as it goes underground (of course, this is a biased opinion).

Drexel is just *** ugly, though.

How did George Mason slip through the cracks on this list? I visited a lot of colleges before making my choice, and George Mason was horrendous looking.

I'm not entirely sure Maryland belongs on the list. Is it incredibly ugly? Certainly. I don't think any building has been repainted or hosed down in 150 years, the buildings look the same (in a bad way), the kids are ugly, and there's really no rhyme or reason to the design.

That said, it is also ugly because it tries to be a normal looking college and fails miserably. The other colleges seem to go out of their way to be hideous.

Maryland is like the frizzy haired, beer gut girl entering a beauty contest. These other schools are the girl with web toes, a hunch back, or a penis.

Way to represent UMass, Northeastern, and Brandeis.

I really don't think UMass deserves to be #2 on the list. It really isn't that ugly. Some of the buildings are worn down, but others are actually nice looking. The dorms...yeah, they suck, but again they're dorms on a college campus that holds almost 20k. What do you expect them to look like?

That article is pretty thorough to have Rowan, Drexel, and other "small" schools on there. I thought no one, outside of specific circles, paid any kind of attention to them. More reason not to for most. lol.
