Does anyone know when Season 6 of the Shield will be out? I really want the episode where Shane is confronted by Vic. That episode is entitled Chasing Ghosts.

It will probably come out a few weeks before Season 7. I don't know how this show has been affected by the writer's guild strike.

It has been affected and bad I guess. Shawn Ryan left for the strike early. So it may be awhile. But you're right, I heard March for a DVD release before, but with the strike, who knows.

I hope so, I really want to buy the entire set all at once but I can't wait that long to get these more recent eps. I think I remember reading somewhere that Season 7 has been written and ready to go for quite a while now but I can't provide a URL to that.

Correct, but Shawn Ryan won't cross. As long as he's on the other side of the line, the shows won't be filmed.

So we could be waiting for a possible Fall '08 schedule or Spring '09 schedule, provide it the strike is over with by then.

I understand that. Especially now that they are releasing complete tv show box set in the $120-$199 price range which is good imo. When most of these sets release, were paying a good $40-$65 each.

I understand that. Especially now that they are releasing complete tv show box set in the $120-$199 price range which is good imo. When most of these sets release, were paying a good $40-$65 each.

Yeah I imagine the box set will go for $150-200 and right now with each season being $50 for 7 seasons, that's a heck of a savings.

The entire season was already filmed when the strike happened. The only episode which has yet to film, and it's the most important one, is the series finale.

Hmmm, I haven't seen an interview, but I had read that in some article. All that was left was the finale, and everything else was already done.

I wanna say it was TV Guide, but I may have misread it. He just said he wasn't crossing so the next season wouldn't be airing anytime soon. I think I took it as they weren't filmed for that reason.

Not sure, head over to amazon to find out. I know there downloaded mp3's on the site are drm free but not sure about the movies.

The shield forum backs up what you said. It said Ryan was not on the set for the last episode and he will not do anything with editing and other things till the strike is over.
