Joe Budden-Mood Muzik 3: For Better or For Worse

Well the highly anticipated 3rd mixtape of the Mood Muzik series is finally here. It just leaked on the net but I'm pretty sure it's shipped now as the release date was supposed to be the 11th.

Mood Muzik 2 was considered the greatest mixtape ever by some and I'll say that I still have it in my rotation and it is by far one of the greatest things to ever grace my ears. Hopefully this will continue the greatness.

Anybody got it yet? Better yet...ARE YOU IN THAT MOOD YET????

I feel horrible b/c I like Joe Budden but I've never heard any of the MM mixtapes. I'm getting MM3 right now though.

Seriously. Enough with the mixes, Joey hasn't dropped an album since 2003 (4 years ago), and he's way too nice an emcee for it to have been that long.

Did MM2 have that New Jersey song?

I like Joe Budden but haven't followed his mixtapes at all. Just listen to whatever friends play and rock my head violently back and forth like Jay.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

Not his fault...He's had his album pushed back so much by Def Jam so he only could drop mixtapes. Then about a month or so ago he got dropped from the label so now he's unsigned. Jay said that he didn't know how to deal with Budden dissing the label on mixtapes if the label was still going to release his album.

@ YankeePride_YP, no, MM2 didn't have any New Jersey song...I know there was a track that came out over the summer with him and Redman called "New Jersey Drive."

I'd recommend both Mood Muzik mixtapes to any hip hop fan, especially for someone who's only heard Joe Budden's radio stuff like Pump it Up.

I don't know how many people on here know about Blueprint(part of Soul Position and solo artist) but here's his comments on it:
I assumed yall already knew how to get ahold of it since its free anyways. Dude is on this **** showing people how to rap. I haven't been this motivated to sit down and write in a long *** time I swear...but this **** right here makes you really feel like you haven't taken it as far as you can take it, and inspires the **** out of you

And real talk, number #14 I think, "all of me", seriously brought tears to my eyes. I don't think it makes me less than a man to admit it, but its a rare thing when a rap song hits on some **** that's so close to home that it brings tears to your eyes.

Buddens is in the shortlist of emcees that can talk about their lives and make you really give a ****...a la tupac or eminem. Even if you don't have that exact experience you still feel that **** for real. Dude is the best rapper by a longshot right now; **** jay, **** wayne, and as much as it hurts to say it my favorite rapper nas aint ****in with this dude right now. Dudes brain is just so open that he's seeing and saying **** that nobody else is seeing.

He's the ****ing dude, and this **** aint even a mixtape for real because he aint even rapping over nobodies elses pop *** beats...he's killin this ****....multiple 5 minute rhymes and ****...damn...they fade this dude out because he's still got **** to say....

I bought his 1st album and thought it was about a c+, but now I gotta say dude is in a whole different place. And hip-hop is better because of it.

Ok...enough...but for real, nobody's ****in with buddens right now. Deal or no deal.

I've listened to some of his mixtape stuff - can't tell you which tracks or which mixtape each track came from - and I have to agree with Blueprint.

My friends and I talk about it a lot of the time. Joe Budden gets slept on a lot in the mainstream. Everyone is bumping his first mainstream album and talking about it being too poppish or whatever. And I'm going to defend it because I thought that album was fire for a mainstream release. But, people definitely need to get up on his mixtape stuff.

Crazy when you read the things he has to say about making music too. He talked about how he went away from his roots to make Clubbin with Marques Houston and that he hated himself for it.

Maybe that's why he came so hard with that first Mixtape. I gotta make sure to pick all three up.

Can anyone direct me to the best place online?

I'll be honest, I've been sleeping on Budden, but I'll be damn if I don't listen to the new mixtape. If it has Blueprints seal of approval, then I gotta grab it. Anyone got a link?

                            I've already previewed MM3... I won't be getting it.

this is completely unrelated but anyone know when the LOX ... or should I say D-Block (gayyyy) is releasing "Live, Suffer, Celebrate" ?
