    50th Annual Grammy Awards

Well, not that I really follow these things or anything, but we are less than two months away from the 50th Annual Grammy Awards.

    Record of the Year:

    Beyonce - Irreplaceable
    Foo Fighters - The Pretender
    Rihanna f/Jay-Z - Umbrella
    Timberlake - What Goes Around
    Amy Winehouse - Rehab

    Album of the Year:

Foo Fighters - Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace
    Vince Gill - These Days
Herbie Hancock - River: The Joni Letters
    Kanye - Graduation
    Winehouse - Back to Black

The only thing I found interesting is this: No Robin Thicke nominations, not even for Male R&B Vocal Performance. Maybe somebody could help me understand that.............
    Favorite Teams:
    NBA: Houston Rockets
    NFL: Tennessee Titans
    MLB: Chicago White Sox
    NCAA: Florida State Seminoles

Grammy's have always been over-rated but those lists are terrible.

Definitely agree with that. Who are the Male R&B nominees anyway, he had the best R&B album this year imo.
      Best Male R&B Vocal Performance
(For a solo vocal performance. Singles or Tracks only.)
      • Woman
        Raheem DeVaughn
        [Jive Records]
      • B.U.D.D.Y.
        Musiq Soulchild
        Track from: Luvanmusiq
        [Atlantic Records]
      • Because Of You

      • Please Don't Go
        Tank
Track from: Sex, Love & Pain

Tank would go, Neyo would go. Haven't heard of Raheem. Prince is...well Prince.

      Best R&B Album
      • Funk This
        Chaka Khan

      • Sex, Love & Pain
        Tank
        [Blackground/Universal Motown Records]
Easily take Tank off the list. Haven't heard Chaka Khan's or Ledesi's, but I think RT's album was better than both Musiq's (and I am a big fan of Musiq's) and Tank's. Jill Scott did her thing, I can't argue with that. Big snub though imo.

              Re: 50th Annual Grammy Awards

The Grammys have no credibility. This is the same body that denied Elvis any awards.

You read that right....They also seem to love handing out awards to artists when their best days are behind them and it's one big make up for neglecting work from the past that deserved to win awards.

The AMAs are more credible IMO.

I'm stupid man. Just went to youtube to see if I heard any of his songs, and I have. I just didn't pay enough attention to him to get his name. I'll check the album out though.

Raheem Devaughn should win but he probably won't. Robin Thicke is good but he isn't anything close to Raheem.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Least he's better then some other "blue eyed soul" types from the past. Then again, that's not saying much.

Eh, I have his album and besides from a few songs he doesn't really do much for me. I find him to be a poor man's Justin Timberlake.
