It's telling how much my music buying has dropped off in recent years. I own only one of the top 50 (NIN-Year Zero). I hope it doesn't mean my taste in music has dropped off, too.

Honestly, and I'm going to get railed for saying this, but Britney Spears music is kind of catchy to me. I heard it the other day skipping through the channels and while I'm not a fan of pop, I know when music has a decent beat and hooks and hers were pretty good. Obviously that has more to do with the producers and beat makers on the album but I was still surprised at how well it ended up sounding.

Rilo Kiley at #8 is a pleasant shock to me as well. I went to a Coldplay concert (How do I know you're gay?) and Rilo was the opening act... Glad to see they're making a name on their own.

Linkin Park at #25 sound about right. They tried some new sounds on this album and I thought it turned out pretty well.

Foo Fighters at 45 is a little low, but then again I'm biased towards Rock.

Actually haven't heard of about half those bands.

I own two of them (FOB and White Stripes), although I only listen to FOB.

Personally, I hate these type of lists. Oh well.

There were a lot of albums I haven't heard of on that list, but if they're anything like the ones I have heard, I'm not inclined to try them out.

Whatever happened to the days when the rock fans would listen to the more obscure rap? Instead, there's Common, wack-*** Kayne, a fifth tier Jay Z album, and the lamest rapper alive.

Can't say if the music is not good or not but I have never heard of over 25 of those bands...even maybe more then that.

Well..atleast Drought 3 made it. Kinda low at 27 IMO.
