I know people hate on SS, but I've grown up with him on SC and with ESPN. I enjoy everything he does, down to Stump the Shwab and Teammates. I hope he gets well and makes a full recovery.

PS, this is going to really make next year's Jimmy V. telethon an extra huge deal!

In 2002, Scott had been invited to join in the New York Jets pre-season training camp by head coach Herm Edwards. He was struck in the eye by a football that was launched from a machine during receiver drills, and had to undergo corneal surgery.

I didn't know either until it clicked about the wikipedia thing. I thought he either had cancer in his head which has him going off at the mouth with his horrible acts, he got into some car accident which has him going off at the mouth with his horrible acts, or he had a stroke/heart attack that went seriously wrong and has him going off at the mouth with his horrible acts. I wonder how the heck he got hit by the football in the first place. Quite interesting how it could have hit him in the eye of all places. Was he walking on the field and someone was playing with the machine, or was the machine in turret mode and just attacked anyone moving?

Nope I read an interview in where he said he was killing cats in the practice and that he had never done a Jugs machine before so he wasn't ready for the speed of the ball coming out, and when he went to turn and catch he misjudged the speed of the ball and the point hit him in the eye.
