Yeah, I just don't know...I mean I was a good kid, but if I really stepped out of line my parents would have taken definitive action. I'm not a parent, and I know it's tough, but someone did a number on this kid. Her self image was crap so she whored herself out because that was how she could be popular.

And that is the problem right there. Not enough boys manning up and taking responsibility for their children. I almost guarantee that girl came from a single parent home.

This reminds me of the scene from The Wire where Poot is told how hard the new generation of kids are by the police. He replies with something about how every new generation is supposed to be so much worse than the last.

I'm sure this is the first 9th grader to have a lot of sex. I'm glad none of you were ever having sex in 8th-9th grade.

Not to mention, this is a daytime talk show. We all know that those shows never exaggerate their guests, never act, and are always 100% real.

Stop with the media stuff. If that were true....all kids would act like this, they don't. We've been down this road before around here. I have a simple question:

This has absolutely nothing to do with the media. This is on her and her mother and the lack of a father figure.

People need to own up to their own mishaps and not look for a scapegoat all the time.

True that man that is all her. Its not like every teenager out there is looking for drugs, sex, and alcohol. Im 16 Straight Edge have been for over a year and looking to keep it that way. So nothing is wrong with our teenager society it is usally the kids who have grown up in the wrong enviornment.

Yeah a lot of it comes from parents not being able to discipline their kids anymore, if I did something stupid as a kid my parents would discipline me and I'd learn not to do it again, whether that was getting grounded, someting taken away, getting smacked on the ***.

Not being able to spank your kid anymore plays a big part to, that was something that made me never want to misbehave again, not like my parents beat me or anything (there is a difference in spanking/disciplining your child and beating them) but they definitely made sure they got their point across to me and they did.

In this day and age grounding really acomplishes nothing, you send your kid to their room where they sit and play video games, get on the internet, talk on their cellphone etc. Taking stuff away only works to a certain extent to.

I'll definitely say the physical punishment was what stuck with me the most, once again I'm not saying beat your children, you have to know where the line is and parents shouldn't get in a big deal of trouble just for spanking a child.

I wouldn't blame it completely on the lack of a father figure. I've never really had one all my life, but you don't see me going around doing stupid ****.

Seems these days Maury either does stories on pregnant women who want to prove who the father is, or young girls who sleep around, like this one, and outside of that Maury has run out of ideas it appears.
