25 grams of lithium? Okay, but how much lithium is in my cell phone battery, or my iPod, or my laptop? How will they be able to actually check if I'm under the 25 gram limit?

      Like they said...

You're more than likely safe unless you carry 3 or 4 extra batteries on your flight with you.

Somehow this must have been the only line I missed in the whole article. I think I was more curious as to if this has been posted on here than me actually finishing the article in full rather than skimming, just to get the word out.

I guess it's not too much of a downer, then.

I like how you can't carry more than 3 oz of a liqud substance in one bottle, but can fill a whole clear ziplock bag with the same liquid in numerous 3 oz bottles, and take it in a carry on bag. Like a terrorist could just combine his explosive shampoo in his shoe while on the plane. Everyone is either listening to their own ipod, sleeping, or playing tetris on a laptop anyways.

I just came back on a plane yesterday and had my ipod, laptop, 360, and cell phone with me all as carry on stuff and no one said anything to me. I guess the 360 might not have lithium in it so it wouldn't matter but I didn't even hear a warning or see a sign about a lithium limit anywhere.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)
