Re: AT&T Internet service
Sucks that AT&T provides service 2 blocks over from me but I can't get it.
I hate paying a Comcast and AT&T Dish bill. -
Re: AT&T Internet service
I've had the AT&T DSL service for over 5 years (previously SBC and Yahoo). I don't think it's as fast as broadband, but it suits my needs (Xbox live and iTunes downloading). I've had some minor problems with it over the years, but it's usually been taken care of fairly promptly. I'd say for the price (I pay $19.99 a month), I get value for my money.Comment

Re: AT&T Internet service
The service is good, but keep in mind it has various tiers. They have a DSL Lite, Med, and Extreme. I have the medium b/c due to the network in my area its all I can get at the moment.
I use it for my PS3 with little to no problems and have been for years now.Follow me on Twitter - http://twitter.com/complex219Comment

Re: AT&T Internet service
I have the extreme one and I really feel its up to par with cable internet. It is even a hella lot cheaper than cable as well. i recommend it if you need a deal.Comment

I have AT&T DSL, it kills when I had Time Warner. I have AT&T U-Verse, so I have their highest setting, my cable is IPTV, so it has to be fast.Comment

I live in the city of Cleveland in an old house, so I don't think we can get the "extreme" service. Like I said before, I'm fairly satisfied with what we've got.Comment

Re: AT&T Internet service
It really sucks compared to road runner. It's alot slower and it hasn't been that reliable.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: AT&T Internet service
I switched from Broadband to DSL about 6 months ago and it has been an awful mistake. I am constantly losing my connection, which means I have to reset my router, then modem and then my 360 the whole process takes about 5 minutes and doesnt always work on the first attempt. This happens about 4 times a week, when I had cable I had to do this maybe every other month.
Also I wasnt told about the cost of renting the modem from AT&T which adds $7.50 per month for 10 months to my total cost. So all in all I'm saving maybe $12 per month and have a much slower speed and a much less reliable connection. Once I move I'm dropping my landline and DSL and will happily pay a few extra bucks a months for Broadband again.Comment

Re: AT&T Internet service
Any of you guys have comcast's performance internet service? I'm looking to upgrade. My daughter recently got a new laptop and it seems to hog up my network everytime she gets online. I got booted from a hotshots game online last night when she got on. Hotshots. It's not like Call of Duty here. So it looks like I need to upgrade. I have ATT Direct Pro. The best available for my location from AT&T.

I switched it a few years ago to reduce expenses but I'm in a bit better spot now and my daughter needs the access to online as she's starting college next month and I want to get my game on. Plus now I have 2 PS3's 2 Iphones, our home PC, my daughters laptop, and a PSVita all looking to share the same connection.

I'm not looking to pay 100 bucks a month but need something that can stream say, netflix on one device, and let me game on another. Comcast has the performance package that looks like it would be about 62 dollars a month so it's not too much higher than the 43 I pay now. But I want to make sure it's worth the switch.
Any ideas?
Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon.
