Modem Help

I have a Toshiba PCX2000 modem. And What its doing is it will go through everything like if I just plugged it in, and then it will work fine, for about a minute. Then the cable light will start flashing like it was reset and then it will will work fine for a minute again.

Does anyone know how I can fix this, when I do fix it,l I don't know how I do it.

I would just return it, I had a similar problem with a modem from Comcast, the modem would constantly restart for no reason and in the end they had to replace it since they couldnt figure out what was wrong either.
