    Re: 3:10 to Yuma

Just saw this, great movie. Am I right about the ending? It appears Crowe most likely escaped (after whistling for his horse). He just wanted to do a good thing for the family, so he got on the train and drove off.

      Yep, pretty much.

I don't know why I've been waiting so long to buy this on Blu-ray... I guess I'm waiting to see what kind of Blu-ray deals will be available on Black Friday so I'm not overspending when I don't need to. But this is definitely on the list.

Huge bump here but I just saw this yesterday. Outstanding movie. Loved how the kid got to him. Telling him, "you're not all the way bad" and he was right.

I was also humming the hanging before morning song all night after the movie haha.

Picking this up on blu-ray ASAP.

If you have a sound system, make sure that baby is cranked up when the train rolls in. I promise you, it sounds exactlly like there is actually a train going into your living room.

I love this movie, BTW. The commentary is excellent and provides insight on what kind of style Mangold was going for.

I still think Ben Foster was the star of this movie.

Wow I hated this movie but looks like I'm the only one. I just hated the concept of this movie of the bad guy turning good to help the pathetic guy out. Open Range was 100 times better then this.

I think if you listen to the director commentary, you'll appreciate it a lot more (at least with character focus, etc.). Mangold claims that he didn't ever truly intend to create a protagonist/antagonist outlook within this movie, and that everyone was truly out for their own.

Again, I recommend that you give it a listen, it was very insightful.

Crowe/Bale/Foster were all incredible. Also loved the random cameos. Great movie.
