Drastic difference with Hd-DVd on 1080I?

Hi Everyone: I was able to get a smokin deal on the Toshiba A3 player and have just set it up with HDMI and my tv only allows 1080I. For those of you that are either using this player or have BD on a 1080I, do you see a drastic difference when viewing HD or because its not 1080P TV, I wont see that much a difference?

The difference between 1080i & 1080p is minimal @ best. So don't worry about it. Sit back & enjoy your new TOY... I run my HD DVD Add-On into a 1080i CRT via HDMI & the picture looks amazing...

Reference shot from Chronicles of Riddick HD DVD for you:

Welcome to the HDDVD family...small as it may be. LOL
Glad you got your hands on a smokin deal. I'm looking for a backup A2 or A3 myself.

Head on over to the www.hidefdigest.com and ebay to pick up some cheap movies.

maybe i expected more of a difference, I dunno. I was able to get included with the ebay purchase....departed, bourne, shooter, 300, knocked up. I played a scene on bourne and then with departed and i dont know if i necessarily see THAT much of a difference.

Do you have to have HDMI outputs for HD-DVD or BlueRay? Won't HD-DVD be obsolete in a few years?
