Lupe, Kanye and Pharrels group "CRS" to drop a album?

Kanye West, Pharrell and Lupe Fiasco will be taking time off from their solo careers to form the group Child Rebel Soldiers.

"It's definitely happening this year. We call each other by our Child Rebel names - but they are top secret for now," says Fiasco.

The trio previously released a track together entitled "Us Placers" on West's 2007 mixtape Can't Tell Me Nothing.

I dunno if I like the name of the group but im definitely excited as a hip-hop fan. This album would kill the game right now....
Lupe,Kanye and Pharells production? (hopefully he doesnt have THAT many verses) should be a classic!

US Placers is hot but this isnt going to happen. Lupe is the only person confirming this and the reason behind that is he needs this to happen. He's the lowest selling and least rapper in the crew. This will go the way of the planned Murder Inc (Jay, DMX and Ja Rule) album and the NWA reunion.

        I don't see this working.

The only time groups or collaboration albums work is either they're a full time group (Mobb Deep), they work together so much they might as well be a group (Ghostface/Raekwon), or half the album is just mash up verses (Lil Wayne/Juelz mixtapes).

With the egos of Kanye and Pharrel, I don't see them letting Lupe do all the rapping. They're good enough to drop a good verse every once in a while, but they can't touch Lupe, nor can Pharrel touch Kanye's producing.

It'll probably end up like most other collaborations and "posse" albums, one or two absolute bangers and a bunch of mediocre verses and beats.

That's an awesome super group, Kanye and Pharrell on the boards should sound HOT if they don't bump heads.
Cameras or guns, one of them is gonna shoot me to death.

Well if were talking about album sales...Pharells last album didnt do overwhelmingly well......not to say he isnt paid....he getting loot off of his beats daily. Lupes "Food & Liquor" , even his new joint "The Cool" arent doing bad. Kanye on the other hand is on a different level.

I say all that to say....Lupe aint broke....so I dont think he necessarily NEEDS it.
But you might be right, The Murder Inc album died b\c of egos....and you can argue that Kanye,Pharells and Lupes ego are WAY beyond Jays,DMX and Ja's...

ill ride with him for now though, cant wait for this if it drops

              Dunno about that...

              Red and Meth
              Talib and Mos Def
              Tim and Magoo
              Ghostface and Raekwon
              Playaz Circle

there are some more that slip me right now

were all pretty good albums IMO, unless your basing it off sales

and there alot of succesful hip hop\r&B collab albums as well

Playaz Circle are lame, and the others fall under the "they work together so much they might as well be a group". Rae/Ghost, Red/Meth, and Talib/Mos Def had collaborated numerous times, but most importantly, they're all very similar in content, style, and everything else and they don't produce.

That's where I see this falling apart; not only do you have to deal with the distribution of verses, but the production. If everyone knew their role, it could be a really great album, but I don't see Kanye and Pharrel backing down.

Red and Meth are the only one out of thse 5 who were established poplular rappers before they became a group.

Maybe I dont get what your saying, but everyone I posted has a had a successful solo debut both sales and popularity wise except Playaz Circle & Magoo.....

yeah the ego control would be VERY key

Not really. My point is successful solo rap artists hardly ever team to become a successful group. Its usually the other way around. Mos Def and Talib became popular as a group (Black Star) before they were popular and successful solo artists. Timbaland was a successful producer not artist before he teamed with Magoo. Ghost and Rae were popular because of Wu Tang before their solo debuts.

I really want this to happen (loved Us Placers, Pharrell's Number 1, Kanye's Touch The Sky, And Lupe's I Gotcha)

Kanye and Lupe are two of my favorite rappers ever!

Replace Pharrell with Common and you have a 5 mic classic!
