eyeTV for gaming/TV on a macbook?

I was wanting to get a small HDTV to play my 360 on, then I stumbled across this little gizmo call the eyeTV that seems pretty sweet.

It's basically just a TV tuner for the MacBook, but it's also got the capability to plug AV cords in to play video game systems. It SEEMS like a nice little thing to have, especially for under 150 bucks. It has High Def capabilities, in that it can play over-the-air high def broadcasts.

I'm just curious if anyone knows a little more than I do about it.

Will my 360 come in High Def on my MacBook? If not, is it close?

Any other info on the eyeTV would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know anything about the eyeTV, but you can purchase the VGA cables for the 360 and play in HD via that way. I did that before I got a HDTV, and even now I still use the VGA input on that tv for my 360...

I have the non-HD Eyetv for my mac. It's alright but the quality is pretty average.

The HD model needs a TON of space on your harddrive so look into that first to see if you can do it.

I don't know if this will work for gaming. The problem is lag between sending the video to your screen and the processing that must take place before displaying. Even is the lag is <.5 secs, that is too much in gaming. So what you see would be behind where the actual 360 is at.
