Is this to offset the amount of HD channels that they have added? A 3.00 price hike doesnt kill me but Im sure thats what Directv is counting on so as not to catch a ton of flack. The situation with the HD-DVR is annoying more then this though.

What's wrong with your's?

I'm not happy about the increase, but it is what it is. I'm surprised they didn't just increase the HD-access fee. They need to drop the MPEG-2 channels and just create a cheaper MPEG-4 package as soon as the new SAT is up around March. I don't want to pay for SD channels when I have the HD.
