I count them because most of the clan was featured on those albums. They were the first group to even do such a thing from what I can remember. A movement like theirs will never be seen again in hip-hop. I feel sorry for younger hip-hop fans that could not experience it in it's full glory.

The Hit Squad (EPMD, K-Solo, Redman, Das EFX and later Keith Murray) would've been the first to do this if Erick Sermon and Parrish Smith didn't have a major fall out as the group was picking up steam. After their beef, Erick had formed the Def Squad along with Red and Keith, while Parrish went his separate ways with Das. And the rest is history.

But with that said, the Wu-Tang Clan was by far the most organized. Of course there were established clans over the years like the Native Tongues (Jungle Brothers, De La Soul, ATCQ, Queen Latifah, Monie Love, etc.) and the Juice Crew (DJ Marley Marl, Biz Markie, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, Craig G, Masta Ace, Roxanne Shante, etc.). But nothing like what the Wu had put together.

I like The Lox but Sheek is awful.

Sheek isn't that bad, but compared to Kiss and P, he is down there. Sheek at times is pretty damn good. It sucks that J-Hood left D-Block though, he is nasty. Still when you have P and Kiss, those two alone are two of the best out.

He actually has a couple songs goin @ D-Block. Calls em D-Flop. Jadapiss, those typa insults, lol. Duke has like 2 good verses outta his whole career IMO, and those were when I 1st heard em.

As far as him being terrible, he has potential, IMO. We will see how it ends up. I think it was a mistake to leave D-block, though. Now he is forced to go at them to get some air time.

Yea I mean to each his own but, I just think its unfortunate when you have to go at the cats that brought you in the game. Its like nobody would know you if it wasn't for them. I mean I don't know the whole situation, maybe he has a good reason, but me personally I couldn't do it.

Prodigys been garbage since like 2001. I used to love Mobb Deep but after HNIC, P's been garbage.

Prodigy has sucked since 2001 but his last cd "Return of the Mac" was one of my favorites from 2007.

I don't understand saying that the Wu fell off, but giving the Mobb a pass either. Both groups fell, but I rate them based on their body of work in it's entirety (36, tical, supreme, OB4CL, etc. Infamous, Hell On Earth, Murda Musik, HNIC, etc.) rather than what have you done for me lately.

I think that's the point when it all came crumbling down for the Mobb. I still don't think he's recovered. Just like I truly believe Em and 50 buried Ja's career. Notice, Ja is just now starting to come back now that Eminem is MIA and 50 is falling off hard.

Wow they probably shouldn't, I just listened to their stuff, and I feel ashamed I even conjured their name in the thread. I can't believe I actually bought their album and listened to their stuff as a youngster. I used to listen to them religiously before basketball games, my favorite track was "Hypnotize Cash Money" with the Tear da Club up Thugs. I'm glad I snapped out of that quick.

I must admit, I still love and bump those old Cash Money hits. Say what you want to about their lyrics.....they were charismatic and the beats were insane. I can still ride to BG's "Cash Money Is An Army".
