    Auto running of a program???

Taking a shot in the dark here.....

I need a program that will auto-run another program at a precise interval. I've tried a bunch of different things, but nothing seems to work, except one program called VisualCron, but I'll be damned if I'm paying $65 for it, just can't justify that expense.

So does anyone have any suggestion for a free program that might work here? Believe me, I've googled all over and have yet to find a working solution.

    Thanks!

Doesn't windows have a built in scheduler for doing this?

Yep, it's called Scheduled Tasks in control panel.

It does, and it's crap basically. Doesn't work well enough for me and it's not precise enough.

The ideal program, would be one that monitors the XP tasks and restarts the program if it closes/crashes, which it really what I need.

Why not just install it as a service that can't be interacted with by the pc user? It runs in the background and the pc user has no control over it. not gonna crash if they can't screw with it.
