I don't know...it has been fine and I have had to the trojan virus for a bit.

It crashed. That has happened to me before. You can get them back, but you have to load the profile back and I don't remember how to do that off hand.

Yeah this has happened to me a few times but not in about a year. Did you save your bookmarks anywhere? You can export them and save them so if it happens again you can just import them.

Here is a link to how to manage your profile with step by step directions. You should be able to restore it now.

Might want to get rid of that trojan though, could be one of the reasons you lost your bookmarks.

This should fix it, this happened a few times to me when it crashed, but was still running in the background and I openned it again.

hence why I have bookmarks put on a CD.. sometimes that happens, I just need to plop it in & import...

LOL I am not even looking at porn though.

My computer is really messed up though. I can't do system restore it won't allow me too. When I restart my computer this pops up

" windows cannot find "c:windows\system32\winupdated.exe. Make sure ypou typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search file click the start button and then click search"

I close that and then I get this pop up "could not load or run "c:windows\system32\winupdated.exe. specified in the registry. Make sure the file exisits on your computer or remove the reference to it in the registry"

One more pop up is "internet explorer cannot find the active desktop html fiel the file is needed for your active desktop. to turn off active desktop click ok.

One more thing, i can't get into task manager either.

did you run a virus program yet? After that you need to run spybot search and destroy. Run that and see what it finds.

I did and it said it healed it, but then I run it agian and it pops up.
