Well I think the song came out in '96, so yes, just a little bit. But yes, RATM is a top 5 group for me. Love their old stuff, and I can still listen to it non-stop.

I started loving this song after the first time I played it in Guitar Hero III.

Better to be late than to never show up at all. RATM was/is great.

Well, they recently started performing together again last year I think after having been broken up for about 7 years. But apparently there's no new album in the works.

Oh yeah, when they broke up it was basically the lead singer leaving. The rest of the band grouped up withthe lead singer from another band and formed Audioslave (a big part of the bands appeal to me was de la Rocha's vocals though so I didn't really get into them).

I saw Rage back on the second Lalapalooza tour, and I remember no-one seemed to know who they were. By their second song the whole place was one big mosh pit. I just got goose-bumps thinking about how cool that was!

Well first off, I hope the political music doesn't offend you because that's what most of their stuff is.

That said, since you like the hip-hop aspect of it, check out "Evil Empire" which is the title of the CD that Bulls on Parade was on. I'd also check out their S/T album which came out way back in 92.

"The Battle of Los Angeles" is their third studio album. Not a bad CD, but it doesn't compare to the first two at all.

                    Agreed.

It's funny I've talked to teenagers in the past year or so that are just starting to like RATM. It makes me feel extremely old when I do, as I can remember listening to their first album when I was about 11.

I remember seeing them play with Wu-Tang back in like 97/98. That was one of the best concerts I've been to.

Add me to the RATM fanclub, too.

What I find most amazing is that you saw a music video on MTV.

Not only that, but a video from the mid 90's.

A few of their more popular songs I know of:

                            Guerrilla Radio
                            Sleep Now In The Fire
                            Killing In The Name
                            Renegades of Funk
                            Testify

You might also check out Audioslave; all the members of Rage except frontman Zach de la Rocha were in that band. It's a different style of rock due to the presence of Chris Cornell on vocals rather than de la Rocha, but it's still good IMO.
