It's going to get this thread locked too unfortunately. It's an outlandish statement.

Re: "Bulls On Parade" Rage Against The Machine
im an American. Anyone who praises attacks on America is an enemy of mine. Im sure what i stand for goes against mostly everything they stand for. I would be their enemy as well.
they are a talented band, i went to a crapload of their concerts back in the day...but i dont really want to continue to support a band that wants to **** on my country. They arent THAT goodLast edited by ZB9; 01-22-2008, 01:18 AM.Comment

i have...and ive heard them say some seriously crazy radical stuff about America (especially at their shows overseas). I wont repeat it here because it will lead to this thread being locked.Comment

Re: "Bulls On Parade" Rage Against The Machine
Yes. I've got ticket stubs floating around my room from around 25 of their concerts that I actually went to, plus another 10 or so from shows I couldn't make for various reasons.
So why even bring it up?
That said, I do have one question for you. How in the world did you get so into RATM that you were going to concerts overseas, if you don't agree with anything they believe in?Comment

Re: "Bulls On Parade" Rage Against The Machine
Why even bring up the things you know but can't say because you don't want to get the thread locked? That just seems silly.
My point was they've always been a political band, even back to their S/T album 15 years ago. If you disagree with their views as much as you say you do, why would you have gone to their shows? That doesn't make much sense to me.Comment

Yeah, it's been about a year or so since they got back together. At first it was rumored to be just for Coachella last year, but they've been together since, and are supposidly working on a new album.Comment

I sure hope they have "it". Surely there's enough material to be mad about.Comment

Sorry man, I didn't mean to imply you liked Toby Keith or anything, it was just an example of a less extreme political song. I knew once I posted that, I made a mistake, haha. I wasn't trying to attack you, I was just confused by your statement. No worries, buddy.Listen to some of my covers:

Re: "Bulls On Parade" Rage Against The Machine
The original Rage album is still the best. I'd give Battle of LA 2nd, followed by Evil Empire and Renegades.
I got into them because of the political stuff. I was a big Public Enemy fan and Rage was the rock verison of PE. I don't necessarily agree with everything they stand for, but there are some things that I can agree with.
My favorite video was for Sleep Now in the Fire. They taped it on the steps of Wall Street and it was directed by Michael Moore.Comment
