    Roger Waters
    Jack Johnson
    Minus The Bear
    Murs
    Little Brother

Of the artists I've heard of, I'd go see these 5.
    Blind to this impending fate

It's back breaks with every mile
But we all live in denial

It's all opinions, and in mine there's no way this list is weak, especially compared to last year.

The National and The Black Kids are amazing.

Check Black Kids tune "Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance" on MySpace.

Portishead, DeVotchKa, and Gogol Bordello for me. The rest is a definite 'meh' -- I like several of the acts, but the whole lineup lacks any real 'wow' factor for me. The Roger Waters thing may be cool or totally suck for real Floyd fans... Portishead playing live again is a big deal though.

They had a WAY better hip-hop line-up last year. Murs and Little Brother? That's it? They had DJ Shadow, The Coup, The Roots, Lupe Fiazco, Cut Chemist, Ghostface, Pharoahe Monch, El-P... no comparison at all.

I've only heard of 5 of those bands.

Yeah the hip-hop bands aren't really there this year. Although damn, LB is almost as good as having all those other hip-hop artists you named from last year.

I've always viewed the festival as an indie rock thing with hip-hop bands sprinkled in.

That's why Coachella is always one of the best festivals of the year. Good music as far back as I can remember.

Has anyone actually seen Little Brother live? For some reason, I think it would be an average show at best... I dunno, 'crew' shows never turn out good unless it's Quannum it seems like. I just don't see myself looking forward to them performing -- one of those groups that I would imagine is better in CD format (like Wu-Tang).

Sasha/Digweed, Danny Tenaglia, Pendulm, Dimitry from Paris, Sandra Collins, Junkie XL. Good enough for me, I might have to pick up some tickets just in case I decide to go.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 10am PT if anyone cares.

I get where you're coming from.. but if they keep it only to Phonte and Tig, then I'd assume it'd be fine. Thing that annoys the crap out of me is when there's like 20 people on stage all yelling into the mic at the same time.
