    More helpful Firefox extensions

Everyone who uses Firefox probably knows the must-have extensions, such as Adblock Plus, Fasterfox and Tab Mix Plus. But here's a page with a bunch of extensions I've never tried, and nearly all look useful:

Yeah, I've removed any of the add-ons that we "thought were safe" that I had.

I think it was only the google/yahoo toolbars...I never use 'em so I got right of them anyway.

Funny how that story says there are security problems with Google Toolbar and then on a linked story at the bottom it also says, "Download Firefox 2 Plus Google Toolbar".

        lol

Running a separate search engine toolbar in Firefox, whether it's Yahoo, Google or Ask.com, is nuts. Firefox has a built-in search window that comes pre-loaded with many sites, and you can add just about any Web site to it here:

It's a memory hog and a security risk to run separate search bars in FF. Superfluous as hell.

I am closer and closer to using Firefox vs. IE6.

            1) Any reason why one shouldn't go with FF?

            2) Can "Favorites" be migrated over to FF from IE fairly easily?

It has a built in tool when you install FF to automatically import bookmarks from IE.

Simple. One or two clicks, as fish said.

                  Re: More helpful Firefox extensions

I'm wondering if I need some sort of add-on or something. If I go to, let's say this forum and I log in and even I click "remember me", when I return to it I still have to re-log in.

Not only that if I view a webpage and let all the images fully load and such, sometimes when I return to the webpage or forum I have to let the images load again. Granted it doesn't take long because of my connection, but it's still a pain and an inconvience.

I asked about these issues a while back when I was using IE, but everyone just said that IE was the problem but now that I've been using FF for quite some time now, it still does the same. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks.
