    Music Data Base

I know you guys are aware of the internet movie database. Is there an equivalent site for music where I could store songs that I plan on purchasing and artist that I like? I'm addicted to itunes but they don't have the option of "saving" songs that I'd be interested in purchasing or artist that I may want to check out letter when I have money in my account. Looking for a free site that allows me to just keep a record of the songs I have and the songs/artists/albums I might be interested in buying later on.

It's not a database per se but I really love AllMusic.com.

Great thread, I've wondered this as well. I doubt it could be as in-depth as IMDB since music is FAR more widespread and numerous than movies.

Maybe we should start a joint-venture? Anyone?

pandora.com, if it still exists, would allow you to type in the name of a band you liked, and it'd play musics from artists with similar musical qualities. Might give that a shot.

I'd be down if I can't find anything like that. Definitely would have to setup guidelines about the music of course. That would be the nicest joint ever. Plus you could charge a one time fee for the upkeep of the site and information.

On second thought, I might be better as a background type of guy giving ideas and suggestions. My music taste has decreased so much which is why I'm so dependent on my ipod and itunes. Radio is straight crap except for the music I can digest.

That site isn't too bad. Not exactly what I'm looking for but close enough to what I'd be into. Thanks.
