As long as they can be sure that the kids won't be any more likely to have defects than a normally conceived child I don't see anything wrong with this.

Have you ever dealt with an adoption agency?

And I really don't understand the "if it's not meant to be" thing. We aren't meant to live in structures of wood, mud, and powdered rocks. We aren't meant to talk to people in other countries. We aren't meant to go to the moon.

      But we do it anyway.

I've never dealt with an adoption agency but I have a cousin who is adopted. Though I haven't been directly in contact with an adoption agency, I have been indrectly touched by them. Some people have their priorities different than what I would have. Personally, I don't think it's the fact of having a kid with your blood so much as having a kid who can be a positive impact on the world. Also, the "we aren't meant to" talk goes deeper than just those phrases. Of course, to take on a conversation of that magnitude, I would be breaking a rule in the TOS. I guess this is where I get off.

I view the money that was pumped into this as a wasted resources.
People want their own children who aren't from the sperm of strangers.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)
