    I don't know anyone who uses a mac to produce music. They use either FL Studio, Pro Tools or an MPC
    Logic Pro is the best. Leaps above FL Studio. Pricey though. They have an express version that is cheaper. Lots of DJ's I read about use Logic Pro.

        I know of many individuals who prefer Apple Logic Studio.

            Most producer, as far as I know, get comfortable with one electronic studio and want to stick with it. I've never used or even heard of Logic Pro, but I know I'd have a hard time adapting to it from FL Studio.

                I don't quite think of the music producers as "corporate America"...True corporate America really runs on Microsoft Exchange, Office, and stuff like that. All the shared Outlook calendars, meeting notices, etc that companies use do not translate well to Macs (as I have learned with my Mac at work...it's great for development, horrible for integrating with the Microsoft way that is very very very common).

                    After using and owning both, I really do find that Macs, in general give you less headaches.

                    I would always have problems with drivers, spyware, slowdowns, startup error messages, etc. when I used Windows (until 2003). On a Mac, I've had a few problems (mainly getting my treo to install a few programs) but overall I just find it easier.

                    I don't really think either one is better, I just like the Mac.

                                Actually, OS X is a full fledged certified Unix. Not a castrated Linux. Linux technically is just a kernel. All the packages and modules added on to it make up a distribution. To get really petty, Linux is a castrated Unix.
